Craig Diehl Say hello

Hi, I'm Craig.

I build Terraform-based cloud systems, I'm kind of a dad, and genuinely enjoy building web apps for clients.

A quiet path between trees

A bit about me.

I'm a cloud engineer who believes good infrastructure should feel invisible. By day, I build Terraform-managed systems and CI/CD pipelines for enterprise teams, with an AI assist where it earns its keep. By choice, I build web applications for clients, one careful decision at a time.

Outside of work: slow mornings, trail running, and a Raspberry Pi cluster I tend to more than is strictly reasonable.

19 yrs in infrastructure

40+ systems migrated

99.98% avg uptime

The hard skills behind the calm.

Six areas I work in every week, not just on a resume.

Cloud & Infrastructure as Code

AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, provisioned and versioned with Terraform and Pulumi.

AI-Augmented Engineering

AI-assisted IaC review and runbooks that shrink enterprise tasks down to an afternoon.

CI/CD & Delivery

GitHub Actions and GitLab CI pipelines built around calm, predictable releases.

Containers

Docker and Kubernetes, shipped through the same steady pipelines.

Web Application Development

Vue 3, React, and Node.js, building client-facing applications end to end.

Security & Observability

Hardening, IAM, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

The part I chase on purpose.

Enterprise infrastructure is the day job. Building web applications for clients, start to finish, is what I'd do even if nobody asked. Same steady process, just a different kind of ship day.
